5. Newsletter

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that will allow us to check that you are the owner of the e-mail address specified and consent to receipt of the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We will only use this data in order to send the requested information and will not disclose this data to third parties.

Rapidmail

This website uses Rapidmail to send newsletters. The provider is rapidmail GmbH, Augustinerplatz 2, 79098 Freiburg i.Br., Germany.

Rapidmail is a service that can be used to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters, among other things. The data entered by you for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be saved on the servers of Rapidmail in Germany.

If you do not want Rapidmail to perform any analysis, you have to cancel your subscription to the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in each newsletter message. Furthermore, you can also cancel your subscription to the newsletter directly on the website.

Data analysis by Rapidmail

The e-mails sent with Rapidmail contain a “tracking pixel” that connects to the Rapidmail servers when the e-mail is opened for the purpose of analysis. In this manner, it can be determined whether a newsletter message has been opened.

Furthermore, we can determine whether and which links are clicked on in the newsletter message with the help of Rapidmail. All links in the e-mail are “tracking links” that can be used to count your clicks.

You can find further information on the analysis functions of Rapidmail at the following link: https://www.rapidmail.de/dsgvo-konformes-email-marketing.

Legal basis

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing processes that occurred up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data we have stored for the purpose of sending the newsletter will remain stored until you are deregistered from the newsletter and be erased from our servers and from Rapidmail’s servers after cancellation of the subscription to the newsletter. Data that we have saved for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the employee area) remain unaffected by this.

You can find further information in the data security information from Rapidmail at: https://www.rapidmail.de/datensicherheit.
